Get an automatic telephone answering device for your youth group.
Have the phone company install a separate line, and use that number as an
information center or "hot line." People can call anytime and get details for
upcoming events and activities. Parents especially will love this.
Tip 9: 모임이 끝난 후 그들이 배운 것을 되돌아볼 수 있는 기회를 주십시오. "내가 오늘

Give kids the opportunity to reflect on what they have learned after each
meeting. Have them write down "I learned....," or discuss what they have

Don't meet in a room that is too big for your youth group. If your group is small,
meet in a small room. This gives kids the feeling of being "packed" in. Always
make sure your meeting place is casual and comfortable.
Tip 11 1년을 마무리지을 때 학생들이 회지를 함께 만들도록 하라. 지난 활동들을 돌이켜볼 수
있는 사진과 글을 실으면 모두에게 좋은 추억으로 남게될 것이다.

Tip 16 교회에 청소년을 위한 책을 소장해놓은 도서관이 없다면 만들어보라.
매달 조금씩 늘려가면 된다.아동이나 부모, 교사들을 위한 책도 함께마련하면 좋다.
Tip 17 청소년들이 교회 내에서 자신들을 후원해주길 바라는 어른을 뽑도록 해주라.
자신이 뽑혔다는 것을 알면 후원을 부탁하기 더 쉽다.
Tip 18 그 지역 중고등학교에서 개최하는 활동이나 행사에 후원자나 도우미로 자원하라.
식사나 집회, 수학여행, 운동회 등 도움을 필요로하는 학교가 많다.
Tip 19 당신의 사역을 돕고 있는 자원봉사자나 후원자들과 함께 정기적으로 만나 훈련하고,
기도하고 친교를 나누라.
Tip 20 일주일을 어떤 일에 어떻게 시간을 보내는지 정기적으로 점검해보라.
Tip #11 Have the young people in your group put together a "youth group yearbook" at
the end of the year. It should include photos and articles about the past year's
activities. It will be a positive reminder of the good times shared by the group.
Tip #12 Prepare a good job description for yourself and stick to it.
Tip #13 If your group is small, go in with other groups on things. Pool your resources.
Share costs. Don't be afraid to invite another youth group to some of your
activities, even if they are of another denomination.
Tip #14 Always deal with problems as they come up.
Don't expect them to go away on their own. They won't.
Tip #15 Set up a "phone chain" to help spread the word regarding upcoming events.
If you have ten young people who will call ten other kids, you can personally
contact a hundred kids in one evening. Personal contact is always the most effective.
Tip #16 If your church does not have a good youth resource library, then start one.
It should grow every month. Include books for kids, their parents, and your leaders.
Tip #17 Allow the young people in your group to select adults in the church whom they
would like to have as youth sponsors. It's easier to enlist those adults when
they know they have been chosen by the kids.
Tip #18 Volunteer to be a sponsor or chaperone for events and activities at your local
junior high or high school. Most schools need help for the lunchroom,
dances, assemblies, field trips, or sports events.
Tip #19 Meet regularly with your volunteer staff and sponsors for training, prayer and
fellowship.
Tip #20 Periodically keep track of your time for a week to see where it is really going.

Tip 26 현실적인 목표를 정하라. 추수는 인생을 끝마칠 때 하는 것이지 당신이 이끄는 모임을
끝마칠 때 하는 것이 아니다. 눈에 보이는 결과로 성공과 실패를 판단하지 말라.
진정한 결과는 훨씬 뒤에 나타난다.
Tip 27 타지역 교회나 가까운 기독단체의 청소년 지도자를 초청하여 점심식사를 함께 나누라

Tip 28 학생들이 방과 후 특별히 할 일이 없는 오후 시간을 이용하는 프로그램을 계획해보라.

Tip #21 Always arrive at the church or meeting place early enough to greet youth
and their parents as they arrive. Stay late for the same reason.
Tip #22 Develop programs that reflect the needs, interests and energy level of the
young people in your group, not the adults who work with them.
Tip #23 Take two days away from the office to prepare for busy times during the year.
Tip #24 Host local high school international students at a dinner in their honor.
Have them tell about being a teenager in their country and how that differs
from the United States. Present each one with a gift certificate for a free call
home from your youth group.
Tip #25 Plan some early morning or late night activities. There will be few conflicts
and the kids will enjoy the adventure.
Tip #26 Develop realistic goals and expectations?the harvest is at the end of the age,
not at the end of your meeting. Avoid depending on immediate results to
determine success or failure. Lasting results come later?often much later.
Tip #27 Take a youth worker from another local church or parachurch organization
to lunch. Don't talk about youth.
Tip #28 Consider planning youth activities from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Many kids of
working parents are left unsupervised in the late afternoon and have nothing to do.
Tip #29 Preview everything. Never use a video you haven't seen or schedule a
speaker you haven't heard. Your students should not be treated like guinea pigs.
Tip #30 Get to know the parents of your young people. Learn their first names and
use them.
청소년사역비결31-40(Y.M.T 31-40)
Tip 31 해마다 새로운 책을 몇 권 읽으라. 청소년 사역, 시간관리, 테크놀로지, 고전 분야에서
한 권씩, 그리고 인기있는 소설 두 권 정도를 기본적으로 읽는 것이 좋다.
Tip 32 학생들을 청소년들만의 활동에 국한시키지 말고 교회 활동에 폭넓게 참여할 수 있도록
지도하라. 전교회 임원활동이나 회의에 참여할 수도 있고, 어린이부서나 어른들의 활동에
함께 하거나 함께 예배를 드리고, 그 밖에 교회 행사나 모임에도 참여할 수 있을 것이다.
Tip 33 미소를 짓거나 큰 소리로 웃는데 인색하지 말라.
Tip 34 가정방문을 해보라. 방을 어떻게 꾸며놓았는지를 보면 그들을 더 잘 이해할 수 있을 것이다.
Tip 35 청소년 모임과 활동을 소개하는 안내서나 엽서를 만들어 부모님, 새로 온 친구들이
손쉽게 볼 수 있도록 하라. 사진, 간략한 설명, 시간 장소 등을 넣으면 된다.
Tip 36 1년에 적어도 두 번씩 묵상하며 쉴 수 있는 시간(retreat)을 가지라. 이러한 하루가
한달 동안 4번의 주일을 보내는 것 만큼이나 값진 시간이 될 것이다.
Tip 37 학생들이 그들답게 유쾌하게 활동할 수 있도록 해주라. 그들은 성인이 아니다. 어른처럼
행동하기를 기대하지 말라.
Tip 38 학생들이 적게 모였다는 이유로 모임을 취소하거나 연기해서는 절대로 안된다. 계획을
다소 변경할 수는 있지만 집으로 돌려보내서는 안된다. 모임에 참석하기 위해 나온
학생들이 나오지 않은 학생들만큼이나 소중하다는 것을 느끼게 해주어야 한다.
Tip 39 학생들이 즐겨듣는 음악을 잘 알고 있는 것이 좋다. 음악 채널에서 방송하는 인기있는
뮤직비디오나 라디오 프로그램을 들으면 도움이 될 것이다.
학생들과 정기적으로 음악에 대해 긍정적인 면에서 토론하는 것도 좋다.
Tip 40 다른 교사 등과 함께 적십자 등지에서 하는 응급처치요령을 배워두는 것이 좋다.
Tip #31 Take time to read several new books each year. Try to read a book on youth ministry,
one on time management, one on theology, one of the classics,
and a couple popular novels.
Tip #32 Avoid creating a "youth ghetto." Get the youth involved in the life of the church,
not just the youth group. They can serve on boards and committees, work with children
or the elderly, participate in worship, and attend other events and meetings.
Tip #33 Don't be afraid to smile and laugh a lot.
Tip #34 Visit each of your youth in their homes. Good insight can be gained by noting how a
student's room is decorated and what is on display.
Tip #35 Print up brochures or postcards describing your youth group and its activities, and
make them available to parents, youth group members, and youth who might be
unfamiliar with the group. Include photos, brief descriptions, times, and locations.
Tip #36 Plan at least two retreats a year. One day at a retreat is worth an entire month of Sundays.
Tip #37 Lighten up and let kids be kids. They aren't adults, so don't expect them to act like adults.
Tip #38 Never cancel an event or meeting simply because not enough youth show up. You may
need to adapt your plans, but don't send everyone home. Let those who show up
know they're just as import!ant as those who don't.
Tip #39 Familiarize yourself with the music your students listen to. MTV's weekly top videos
count down and some weekly radio programs will help you stay current.
Periodically discuss the music with your kids in a positive way.
Tip #40 Take a Red Cross first aid course and encourage others on your staff to do the same.

Tip 44 청소년들이 드라마를 공연하거나 촌극을 할 때 사용할 수 있도록 갖가지 의상들을 모아두라.
사람들에게 우스꽝스런 의상부터 낡은 옷까지 다양하게 기증을 받으면 된다.
지역 벼룩시장 등을 활용하는 것도 좋다.
Tip 45 학생들에게 아주 바쁜 사람이라는 인상을 심어주지 말도록 하라. 그들이 언제든지
연락할 수 있는 사람이 되어야 한다.
Tip 46 전체 학생을 앞에서 게임을 하는 등의 경우, 학생들을 우스갯거리로 만들지 말라.
그들이 바보가 아니라 훌륭하다는 자긍심을 가질 수 있도록 자신감을 심어주는 활동을 하라.
Tip 47 좋은 취미나 특기를 갖고 야외 활동 등에 관심을 갖는 것이 좋다. 악기를 배우거나
새로운 운동을 잘할 수 있도록 연습하거나 뭔가를 수집하는 취미활동을 시작하라.
Tip 48 자신이 잘하는 일이라 할지라도 모든 것을 혼자서 하려고 하지 말라.
다른 사람에게 맡기는 법도 알아야 한다.
Tip 49 갑작스런 경우를 대비하여 적어도 하나 이상의 프로그램을 준비해두라. 강사가 오지
않거나 상영할 비디오가 제 때 도착하지 않을 경우, 유용하게 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
Tip 50 교회 내 성인들과 학생들이 자매결연을 맺어 정기적으로 연계된 학생을 위해 특별한
기도를 하는 프로그램을 마련하라.
Tip #41 Keep a file of referrals for crisis counseling. If you feel inadequate or unsure
of yourself, don't hesitate to refer young people to professionals who have
the appropriate training and experience.
Tip #42 Offer to serve as a volunteer chaplain at a local hospital adolescent unit or
drug and alcohol treatment program.
Tip #43 Get a set of Ideas books from Youth Specialties. You'll never be able to use
all those ideas, but next time you need one, you'll have plenty to choose from.
Tip #44 Put together a "skit closet" full of costumes, old clothes, and props for your
drama productions or even last-minute illustrations. Ask people in the church
to donate ridiculous looking clothing and other items.
Your local thrift shop is a great resource, too.
Tip #45 Communicate availability. Don't give your kids the impression that you're too
busy for them.
Tip #46 When students help you with a game in front of the group, don't make fun of
them. Use activities to build them up?make heroes out of them, not idiots.
Tip #47 Take up a hobby or some outside interest. Learn to play a musical instrument,
take up a new sport, or start a collection of something.
Tip #48 Don't do everything yourself, even though you can do it better. Learn to delegate.
Tip #49 Always have at least one youth program "in the can" for emergency use. It will
come in handy when your guest speaker doesn't show up or your video
doesn't arrive.
Tip #50 Ask adults in the church to "adopt an adolescent" by getting to know one of the
youth and praying specifically for that young person on a regular basis.
Tip 51 좋아하는 노래가 찬양집에 없을 경우 OHP나 슬라이드로 가사를 제공할 수 있도록
만들어두라. 저작권이 있는 노래라면 먼저 허가를 받아야할 것이다.

Tip 54 마치 운동선수의 코치처럼 목회를 하려면 어떻게 뛰어야 하는지 함께 일하는 청소년
지도자들에게 본을 보이라.
Tip 55 학생들의 활동을 부모님들에게 알리라. 학부모들을 위해 의문사항이나 평가사항을
전달할 수 있는 뉴스레터나 정기적인 모임을 가지면 좋다. 학부모들과 의견 교환이
제대로 되지 않을 경우 청소년 사역에 심각한 문제가 발생할 수도 있다.
Tip 56 함께 일하는 청소년 지도자들에게 해야할 일들을 자세하게 전달하라. 그들이 해야 할
목표가 무엇이고 신경쓰지 않아도 될 일은 무엇인지 분명하게 알게 해주라. 그들이
요청받은 일을 잘 감당할 수 있도록 좋은 자료들도 제공해줄 수 있어야 한다.
Tip 57 모든 모임과 활동을 확실하게 기획하도록 하라. 그러면 학생들 자신이 중요하다는
느낌을 받을 수 있으며 규율을 잡느라 애써야할 문제들이 줄어든다.
Tip 58 학생들이 창의력을 기를 수 있도록 의견을 내놓는 회의를 갖게 하라. 우선 별다른
비판 없이 풍부한 아이디어들이 나오도록 한 후 더 이상 나오지 않으면 평가를 한다.
Tip 59 절대로 전문적인 신학 용어나 진부한 문구를 사용하지 말라. 청소년들이 쉽게 이해할
수 있는 단어를 사용하여 내용을 전달하라.
Tip 60 개인적으로나 학생들이 모여있을 경우나 언제든 학생들이 자부심을 가질 수 있도록
그들을 긍정해주라.
그래서 결국 그들 스스로 서로에게 좋은 이야기를 해줄 수 있도록 만들라.
Tip #51 If your favorite songs are not in a songbook, put the words on overhead
transparencies or slides. If the songs are copyrighted, get permission first.
Tip #52 Don't neglect the "nerds" of your group. Give them as much of your time and
attention as the sharp kids.
Tip #53 Occasionally invite the senior pastor to a youth group activity to observe the
students and the program. It also gives youth a chance to see the pastor
as a real person.
Tip #54 Teach your leaders?by example?to be player-coaches in ministry.
Tip #55 Keep parents informed. Publish a parents' newsletter or schedule periodic
meetings for questions and feedback. Lack of communication with parents
can seriously handicap your ministry.
Tip #56 Develop good job descriptions for your volunteer leaders. Make sure they
know exactly what is expected of them and what is not expected of them.
Provide them with good resources for the job you have asked them to do.
Tip #57 Make sure every meeting or activity is well organized. It lets kids know
they are import!ant and reduces discipline problems.
Tip #58 Foster creativity in your students by having brainstorming sessions. Allow
ideas to flow without criticism?eval!uate only after the ideas have stopped.
Tip #59 Never use religious jargon and worn-out cliches. Say what you mean in
words today's youth can understand.
Tip #60 Build self-esteem in your students by affirming them both when they are
alone and when they are with their peers. Over time make it a point to say
something positive to each one.
Tip 61 외모나, 체중, 성격 등에 뚜렷한 결점을 가진 학생이 있을 경우 누군가 다른 사람이
그 학생을 도와주고 있으리라고 단정짓지 말라.
Tip 62 청소년들에게 이야기할 때 개인적인 이야기를 들려주라. 추상적인 개념을 생생한
메시지로 전달하려면 구체적인 예가 필요하다.
Tip 63 학생들에게 필요한 것인지 먼저 고려해보지 않은채 커리큘럼을 진행하지 말라.
컬리큘럼 저자는 당신이 지도하고 있는 청소년들을 모른다. 잘 알고 있는 사람은 당신이다.
Tip 64 양적인 성장에 얽매이지 말라. 규모가 커졌다고 성공한 것은 아니다.
건강하면 잘 자란다. 그러나 잘 자란다고 건강한 것은 아니다.
Tip 65 사무실 개인 게시판에 가까운 친구나 학생들과 함께 찍은 사진, 오래된 엽서, 그 밖에
자질구레한 것들을 붙여놓으라. 학생들은 그러한 것을 드려다보길 좋아하고 그러한
것들을 통해 당신이 어떤 사람인지 알게 된다.
Tip 66 자신에 대해서나 주변 상황에 대해 지나치게 고민하지 말라. 나쁘게 생각하면
나쁜 것이 되고 좋게 생각하면 좋은 것이 된다.
Tip 67 모른다는 말을 할 수 있어야한다. 그러면 학생들은 안다고 했을 때 보다 더 열심히
귀를 기울일 것이다.
Tip 68 프로그램을 하기 전 항상 다른 그룹에서 준비하고 있는 것과 겹치지는 않는지,
차량 운영은 수월한 지 등 미리 확인해 두라.
Tip 69 교사와 학생들이 지켜야할 규칙이 이중적이어서는 안된다. 학생들에게 요구하는
일은 교사들에게도 똑같이 적용되어야 한다.
Tip 70 표면적인 상황에 대한 대책만 세우지 말고 근본원인이 무엇인지를 살펴보아야 한다.
학생들의 잘못된 행동에 대해 설교를 하거나 야단을 치려고 하기 보다는 왜 그런

Tip #61 When your students have obvious flaws, for example, in their complexion,
weight, or personality, don't assume they are already being helped.
Tip #62 Use personal illustrations when speaking to young people. Abstract ideas
need concrete examples to keep the message alive.
Tip #63 Never use curriculum without first adapting it to the needs of your group.
Curriculum writers don't know your kids; you do.
Tip #64 Don't worry about numerical growth. Size does not equal success.
Health leads to growth; not vice versa.
Tip #65 Hang a personal bulletin board in your office with pictures of your friends,
students in the group, classic postcards, and other junk you collect.
Kids love to look at it and they get a glimpse into your personality.
Tip #66 Don't take yourself or your circumstances too seriously. Nothing is ever
as bad as you think it is, and nothing is ever as good as you think it is.
Tip #67 Be able to say "I don't know." Then young people will listen to you better
when you do know.
Tip #68 Always reconfirm! any group reservations or bus charters the day before
the event.
Tip #69 Avoid all double standard rules for leaders and students. Whatever goes for
the kids goes for you and your staff.
Tip #70 Deal with root causes, don't treat the symptoms. Rather than fighting or
preaching on behavior, find out what the cause of the behavior is and deal
with that.
Tip 71 일년에 한번 이상 청소년 사역자 훈련 프로그램에 참가하라. 이미 다 알고 있다고
착각하지 말라!
Tip 72 할 수 없다거나 그렇게는 절대로 하지 않겠다는 식의 부정적인 조건을 만들지 말라.
Tip 73 언제나 자동차 트렁크에 게임이나 레크레이션 도구들을 가지고 다니라.
언제 축구공이나 원반던지기, 비치볼이 필요할 지 알 수 없다.
Tip 74 청소년들을 위해 함께 일할 수 있는 여성후원자, 남성 후원자가 적어도
한 명 이상 있어야 도움이 된다.
Tip 75 모임이나 프로그램을 진행할 때 늘 간단한 먹을 것을 준비하라. 아이들은 이를
좋아하며 그다지 어렵지 않은 일이다. 또 아이들이 좀 더 오래 머물며 개인적으로
이야기를 나눌 수도 있다.
Tip 76 지역에서 열리는 무료 영화상영 프로그램 등을 유익하게 활용하라.
Tip 77 파벌이 생기는 문제를 걱정하지 말라. 오히려 모두가 서로 영향을 끼치고 서로를
알아갈 수 있는 기회를 많이 주도록 하라. 파벌을 깨려고 하면 보통 쓸데없이
에너지만 소모하고 정반대 결과를 가져올 수 있다.
Tip 78 학생 기록부를 기록하라. 가족사항이나 개인적인 사항들, 생일, 사진, 상담이나
주의 깊게 살펴본 평가 등을 신빙성 있게 기록하라. 사역을 하는데 유익하며
후임자에게도 좋은 자료가 될 것이다.
Tip 79 교회를 개선하려면 당신 자신부터 시작하라.
Tip 80 은밀한 곳에서 반대 성(性)을 가진 학생과 상담하는 일은 바람직하지 못하다.
커피숍이나 사람들이 많이 모이는 공원 같이 공개된 장소에서 만나는 것이 소문이나
오해를 불러일으키지 않는다.
Tip #71 Attend a youth ministry training event every year, like the National Youth Workers
Convention, or a National Resource Seminar for Youth Workers.
Never think you've learned it all.
Tip #72 Don't make threats you can't or won't follow through on.
Tip #73 Keep a supply of games and recreational items in the trunk of your car at all times.
You never can tell when you'll need a football, a Frisbee, or a few water balloons.
Tip #74 Make sure you have at least one male and one female adult youth sponsor
working with your youth group.
Tip #75 Always serve refreshments at meetings and activities. It's a relatively easy thing
to do and kids love it. It also keeps them around a little longer for personal contact.
Tip #76 Take advantage of the free films and videotapes available from your local
public library.
Tip #77 Don't worry about the problem of cliques. Instead, provide plenty of
opportunities for everyone to interact with and discover each other. Breaking up
cliques is usually an exercise in futility and somewhat counter-productive.
Tip #78 Keep a file on each of your students. Get personal and family information,
birthdays, photos, notes from personal interviews and observations, and
other information. Keep it confidential. It will benefit your ministry and make
a wonderful gift for your successor.
Tip #79 When trying to improve the church, start with yourself.
Tip #80 Avoid counseling someone of the opposite sex in a private place. Prevent
rumors and unfortunate misunderstandings by meeting in a public place
like a coffee shop or a busy park.
Tip 81 청소년 사역에 관한 기록을 남기라. 매주 어떤 청소년 그룹 활동을 했는지 기록하고
평가하라. 아이들과 만나거나 전화를 한 내용도 기록하면 학생들을 이해하는 데
도움이 된다. 또한 생각을 잘 정리하는데 도움이 되고 중요한 행사에 대한 기록이 될 것이다.
Tip 82 상담을 하고 충고를 받을 수 있는 사람들이 주위에 많아야 한다. 청소년 사역자는
의지하고 도움을 받을 수 있는 사람이 필요하다.
Tip 83 학생들을 지도하는 교사들을 좋은 프로그램을 가지고 있는 수련회에 참석시키라.
마음이 잘 맞는 팀을 이루도록 애쓰라.
Tip 84 지역 고등학교에서 벌어진 경기를 비디오 테잎으로 녹화하여 그 학교 학생들을 모두
초대하여 대형스크린으로 모두 함께 보는 시간을 가져보라.
Tip 85 악기를 연주하는 학생들이 있으면 예배시간에 연주하도록 하라. 학생들이 자신감이나
지도력 등을 키울 수 있고 찬양을 하는 데 도움을 받을 수도 있다.
Tip 86 학생들이 다니는 학교를 방문해보라. 가능하면 교장 선생님이나 교사와 인사를
나누고 당신이 하는 일을 소개하는 것도 좋다.
Tip 87 무엇보다도 아이들의 이름을 모두 외우는 것을 가장 중요하게 생각하라.
그들의 이름도 모르면서 그들을 위해 사역할 수 없다.
Tip 88 친구들 앞에서 학생을 훈계하지 말라. 개인적으로 만나 일대일로 문제를 이야기하는
것이 가장 좋은 방법이다.
Tip 89 수련회나 행사 광고를 절대로 그대로 믿지 말라. 예약하기 전에 직접 방문하여 질문을
해보고 융통성 있는 행사 진행 방법이나 추가 비용 등을 알아보아야 한다.
가능하면 식사도 미리 해보는 것이 좋을 것이다.
Tip 90 토론을 할 때 학생들이 내놓은 의견에 대해 지나치게 긍정적이거나 부정적인 이야기를
하지 말라. 학생들이 솔직하게 의견을 이야기할 수 있도록 중립적인 태도를 유지할 수
있어야 한다.
Tip #81 Keep a youth ministry journal. Each week record and eval!uate what you did
with the youth group. Describe contacts with kids and reflect on each one.
You'll be able to organize your thoughts and document import!ant events.
Tip #82 Surround yourself with adults to whom you can go for advice or counsel.
You need the accountability and support.
Tip #83 Take your student leaders on a planning retreat. Strive to become a team.
Tip #84 Videotape the "big game" this year at your local high school and show it after
the game on a wide-screen TV. Invite the whole school.
Tip #85 If you have students who play musical instruments, let them play during youth
worship. It will build their confidence and leadership abilities, and possibly
improve your singing.
Tip #86 Visit the schools your students attend. If possible, introduce yourself to
the principal, the teachers, and the coaches. Let them know who you are.
Tip #87 Make learning the names of all the kids a top priority. You'll never have a
ministry to them until you know and remember their names.
Tip #88 Avoid disciplining youth in front of their peers. It's best to handle discipline
problems privately and one-on-one.
Tip #89 Never believe camp or conference center brochures. Visit the facility before
booking it. Ask questions about flexibility, and additional costs and
availability of "extras." Eat a meal if possible.
Tip #90 When leading a discussion, refrain from making overly positive or negative
comments when students offer their opinions. Remain as neutral as
possible to encourage openness and honesty.
Tip 91 가족이나 친구와의 시간이나 기독교 외의 활동에도 관심을 가져 개인적으로 성장할

Tip 94 적어도 일년 정도 미리 청소년들의 활동을 계획할 수 있도록 새로 적어 넣을 수 있는
달력을 준비해두라. 어디로 가는지 목적지를 모르면 가지도 못한다.
Tip 95 다른 사람들의 이야기를 잘 들어주라. 모든 일에 자신의 의견은 접어두고 들어줄
수 있어야 한다. 이렇게 하는 것이 더 도움이 될 수 있다.
Tip 96 학생들이 매년 한가지 이상 봉사활동에 참여하도록 하라. 이는 학생들이 다른
사람들의 생활에 도움을 주는 기회가 될 뿐 아니라 건전한 공동체를 이루어 가는데
큰 도움이 된다.
Tip 97 일년에 한 번 정도 드라마를 공연하라. 보다 낳은 학생들이 가진 달란트를 발휘할
기회가 되며 만족을 느낄 것이다.
Tip 98 소년원 등 지역 청소년 보호시설을 대상으로 사역을 시작해보라. 가능하면 학생들과
함께 하는 것도 좋다. 예배를 드려주거나 상담 등의 도움을 줄 수 있다.
Tip 99 청소년들에게 좋은 귀감이 되어야 한다. 가능하면 항상 학생들이 차를 고치거나
심부름을 하거나 다른 사람들을 만나는 모습 등을 직접 볼 수 있게 하라.
당신이 실제로 어떻게 살아가는지 보여주라.
Tip 100 "청소년인 척" 하지 말라. 성인이면 성인답게 행동하라. 학생들이 좋아하는 어른이
되는 것이 중요하다.

Tip #91 Learn to say "no." Make time for your family and friends, your outside interests
, and your personal growth.
Tip #92 Occasionally meet in the homes of church board members so they can see
first-hand what the youth group is like.
Tip #93 Use TV to your advantage. Tape and discuss good programs. Discuss and
eval!uate the programs that are most popular with your youth.
Tip #94 Get a good refillable calendar so you can plan your youth group activities at
least a year in advance. If you don't know where you're going, you probably
won't get there.
Tip #95 Become a listener. Learn to withhold your opinion on everything and just
listen. You'll be much more helpful that way.
Tip #96 Get your group involved in at least one service project each year.
Service projects not only give kids a chance to make a positive contribution
to someone else's life, but they are great for building community.
Tip #97 Put on a drama once a year. It gives more kids a chance to use their talents
and be in the limelight.
Tip #98 Begin a ministry at a local youth detention center. Involve students if possible.
Offer to help the chaplain with counseling or chapel services.
Tip #99 Be a model for your young people. Whenever you can, take a student with you.
Let them witness your life as you fix the car, run errands, and interact with
others. Let them see you as a real person.
Tip #100 Don't attempt to be "one of the kids." If you're an adult, be an adult. Just be
an adult who loves kids.
